If you are a victim of overplucking and currently trying to grow your brows back, these expert tips are sure to help.

After 15 years in the business, Amy Jean is the go-to ‘brow queen’ for celebrities like Dannii Minogue, Naomi Campbell and Delta Goodrem. Here, she explains how to get the best shape for your face – and what to do if you’ve overplucked your brows.

Oops, I’ve overplucked!

Your heart may sink when you’ve realised this, but it’s not the end of the world.

“Firstly, consult with a brow specialist about your options,” says Amy. “You may need to re-grow and groom them over a series of brow shaping appointments, however, an option might be to lightly tattoo them to fill in the sparse areas.”

If you’re after a DIY solution? “Make use of brow makeup products – after a simple tutorial this may be the answer,” she advises.

How do I go about building the shape I want?

Amy suggests leaning on your brow consultant for this one. “Observe and learn pointers from a professional on what shape suits you to be drawn on,” she says.

Then, it’s as easy as following their lead. I don’t know about you, but I pluck my brows after I come out of the shower, sans makeup, but Amy suggests turning this process on its head.

“Always draw on the product to the shade you desire, then tweeze around them. Not the other way around,” she advises.
